DEEPEN YOUR PRACTICE, Establish your HABIT.
A yoga class can offer us cool effects 😎
We believe that yoga can do it all…
Healing, fitness and profound mystical experiences.
But how do we ensure it actually does that?
Not only is it possible;
it is natural and simple, easy to learn and share.
Yet, it’s rare.
It can take years before we realise we are going in circles…
Learn a functional approach and feel confident that you have the power to transform the way the body, mind and emotions function.
A functional approach will completely set you apart as a yoga teacher, and bring a deep, embodied wisdom to your own practice.

What is Functional Flow?
stronger, Embodied, therapeutic movement.

Functional Flow teaches us how to love moving,
so we naturally practice more.
Learn a safer, deeper, embodied movement practice using functional movement. The result: strength, flexibility and health.
And of course, way easier to teach.
Expect a moving meditation that can open up profound insights and healing,
Reveal the truth of your deeper layers, and the universal reality.
Whether you are brand new to yoga

ava irani
Lead teacher

Ava is the director of Functional Spirituality and the yoga and meditation centre Spanda School. She is a philosopher with a degree from the University of Sydney, retreat leader, business owner and somatic therapist. Her deepest passions are non-dual philosophies, community healing and looking at the impacts of spirituality.
Ava's path started with a ferver for awakening and non-duality. However over the years her path has matured with a more functional approach. Her work now considers the wide-spread complex trauma that lies at the heart of almost every obstacle to happy, healthy and connected living, and marries profound mystical approaches with nervous system regulation.
She has trained with Paul Muller-Ortega (Blue throat yoga), NARM (complex trauma), Cecily Milne (yoga detour) to name a few.
Ava is predominantly known for her thriving yoga studio, silent retreats and the phenomenal teachers that emerge from her yoga and trauma-informed certifications. She lives in beautiful Western Australia with her family and animals.
