Our semi-silent community retreats focus on creating deep rest and alignment with our deeper layers. The schedule is spacious and there’s a strong component of relaxed, community connection. Expect to find rejuvenation, exciting clarity and a loving connection to your hidden layers and your essential, universal Being.
What to Expect
You will be picked up by complimentary airport transfer from Chennai Airport.
Ashoktree is a simple but beautiful, clean and all inclusive Ayurveda healing resort. You will be served buffet style, amazing South Indian food, with complimentary tea and fresh fruit throughout the day.
Rooms are airy, clean and newly refurbished, with balconies to take in the breeze and natural surroundings.
There is time to relax, explore the holy mountain of Arunachala, as well as get therapies from the well-priced Ayurveda centre on-site.

Purpose of the retreat
This retreat is to give us the much, much needed space away from the stress and unhealthy conditioning of normal life.
Its highest intention is to reconnect us with the spiritual heart, which is our true self & real nature - an absolute background of stillness. By giving us space from everyday life in which we are typically disconnected from the truth of our Being, we have a better chance to realise what we really are. In the harmonious and supportive environment of retreat, the teachings and practice have better space to seed and blossom. You can expect months of strong benefits to echo after such an experience. Each of us is invited to taste what it is like to live with an open heart.
Who's your teacher?

Ava Irani is the retreat leader for our India retreat. She has been guiding silent yoga and meditation retreats since 2013.
Ava is the director of Functional Spirituality and the popular yoga and meditation centre Spanda School. She is a philosopher with a degree from the University of Sydney, retreat leader, business owner and somatic therapist.
Her deepest passions are non-dual philosophy, community healing and looking at the impacts of spirituality.
Ava's path started with a fervour for awakening and non-duality. However over the years her path has matured with a more functional approach. Her work now considers the wide-spread complex trauma that lies at the heart of almost every obstacle to happy, healthy and connected living. She intelligently marries profound mystical approaches with nervous system regulation.
Ava is predominantly known for her thriving yoga studio, silent retreats and the phenomenal teachers that emerge from her yoga and trauma-informed certifications. She lives in beautiful Western Australia with her family and animals.
